Free Workshop: Retirement Planning

June 26, 2019 – 6:15pm
Whether retirement is still decades away or just a few years, you may have started thinking about how you will manage it. It’s normal to wonder if you are saving enough, what your options are, and what kind of lifestyle you will be able to afford. Unfortunately, a lot of Canadians do not save enough and are reliant on government pensions to get by.

In this workshop we will talk about the various ways to save and plan for retirement (whatever you conceive that to be!), and how you can best set yourself up for the lifestyle you want. We will also touch on streams of income during retirement and how we can structure them to be most tax-efficient and useful.

Free Workshop: Be a Smart Consumer

August 21, 2019 – 6:15pm
Those of you who have attended my workshops in the past know that I’m fascinated by the psychology behind how we relate to money. There is a whole field of study called Behavioural Economics, and it can help us be smarter consumers.
In this workshop we’ll talk about some of the psychological mistakes we make, as well as some tactics that are used by marketers to influence our choices. Being aware of these things is the first step to making better decisions and having a better relationship with our finances.
