Free Workshop: Real Estate Investing

June 12, 2019 – 6:15pm
Think real estate investing is only for the rich? Think again!

One of our own meetup group members, David Monteith, is both a mortgage broker and a real estate investor. He has graciously offered to come in and teach us about real estate investing. This is a very big topic that a lot of you have asked for, and this workshop has had very good feedback in this past. David will show us ways just about anyone can get into the RE market!

Free Workshop: Retirement Planning

June 26, 2019 – 6:15pm
Whether retirement is still decades away or just a few years, you may have started thinking about how you will manage it. It’s normal to wonder if you are saving enough, what your options are, and what kind of lifestyle you will be able to afford. Unfortunately, a lot of Canadians do not save enough and are reliant on government pensions to get by.

In this workshop we will talk about the various ways to save and plan for retirement (whatever you conceive that to be!), and how you can best set yourself up for the lifestyle you want. We will also touch on streams of income during retirement and how we can structure them to be most tax-efficient and useful.
