Free Workshop: Be a Smart Consumer

Aug 21, 2019 – 6:15pm
Those of you who have attended my workshops in the past know that I’m fascinated by the psychology behind how we relate to money. There is a whole field of study called Behavioural Economics, and it can help us be smarter consumers.
In this workshop we’ll talk about some of the psychological mistakes we make, as well as some tactics that are used by marketers to influence our choices. Being aware of these things is the first step to making better decisions and having a better relationship with our finances.

Did you know that you can get a tax deduction for borrowing to invest? This can be a great way to give your Financial Capital a boost and increase your long-term savings.
For this workshop we will discuss:
– how leveraging works
– advantages and risks
– leveraging as part of your overall financial plan
– who would benefit
– is it right for you?
While this is not a strategy that is right for everyone, it is good to know what tools are available to you and how you can take advantage of it.
